The Swinging Belles formed in 2002 under the musical direction of Dave Cooke. The music that they have chosen to sing is a mixture of the arrangements of the Boswell and Andrews Sisters, new but in-keeping arrangements of songs from the American songbook and original songs that have been written in the style of the era.
The Swinging Belles pride themselves on bringing these authentic exciting harmonies to audiences that appreciate the value of music that is so vibrant it doesn't need modernising.
Already the Swinging Belles have been privileged to have worked with some great musicians from small groups to swing bands. And have enjoyed gigs such as supporting Woody Allen at the Brighton centre and Hammersmith Apollo.
